The calendar for the 2025 edition of the Sanremo festival (Festival di Sanremo) has been announced and will see the final take place on February 8.
The show is not technically Eurovision-related but in recent years the winner of the festival has gone on to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest.
There will be a new host for the competition this year Carlo Conti as well as a new format for the show.
- Night One: 24 artists perform their competing songs with the top five announced in a random order (Feb 4)
- Night Two: 12 artists perform their competing songs with the top five announced in a random order (Feb 5)
- Night Three: 12 artists perform their competing songs with the top five announced in a random order (Feb 6)
- Night Four: the artists will perform a cover of an existing song, the night winner will be announced but will not count towards the overall scores (Feb 7)
- Final Night: 24 artists perform their competing songs with the top five from the combined rankings moving into the superfinal where they will perform for a second time and a combination of juries and televote will decide the winner of the competition (Feb 8)
