In addition to the site’s earlier report that VRT will not be returning to the competition this year, various broadcasters have confirmed to other outlets their non-participation in the upcoming competition in Madrid.

Israel (Not participated since 2018)
Luxembourg (Never participated)
Romania (Not participated since 2009)
San Marino (Not participated since 2015)
Lithuania has confirmed that they will not participate but will broadcast the competition

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Madrid later this year.
Last years’ winner France passed up on their right of first refusal to host the competition and as such the runner-up country will host.
