Following the publication of information we reached out to the EBU and got the following response:
The European Broadcasting Union has investigated this matter with both RAI and its televoting partner and can confirm that the information was published in error. We can also confirm that the information was incomplete.
A valid vote was recieved from Italy as part of the results of the Semi-Final.
RAI have been informated that this was in breach of the rules of the Contest which state that voting results may only be communicated after the event. The matter will be discussed further by the Contest’s Reference Group following the Contest.
We have requested RAI to review their procedures to ensure that all rules and protocols are followed in order to protect the integrity of the voting.
