Belgian broadcaster RTBF has announced that Mustii will represent Belgium at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest 2024 set to be held in Malmo, Sweden.
Mustii spoke with RTBF about his feelings about being selected to represent his country at the competition.
It’s something surreal for me but at the same time, it’s a challenge that I want to take on. The reason I chose the arts, is precisely to experience things as intensely as possible and I believe that all the ingredients are united in Eurovision so it will be a great experience!
Mustii
The broadcaster then asked him how he felt upon being selected to represent Belgium to which he responded
My first reaction was silence! A valve, a bubble of air because you first have to take in the news. And then there’s everything that follows, everything that goes through your head. You have the first images, the first visual desires, the ideas, the fantasies. Now you have to sort it out, sit at the table and be prudent in your choices. But it is obvious that it directly creates a lot of desires, a lot of fantasies. It’s a huge stage, it makes you want to put your nose to the grindstone as they say so I can’t wait!

He finished off by clarifying that he feels a mixture of nerves and excitement and saying that he wants to be proud of his performance and hasn’t set any primary objectives for where he wishes to place in the contest.
Following this Belgium has become the first country to confirm their act for the contest in Sweden.
