Iolanda has won the 2024 edition of Festival da Cancao and will therefore represent Portugal at Eurovision 2024 with her song “Grito”.
In the national selection show, she won the Jury Vote and finished second in the Televote securing enough points to be the outright winner of the competition.
She is expected to take part in the second half of the first semi-final in May however, many Portuguese artists signed a petition recently calling for Portugal to boycott the competition if Israel is permitted to take part, it remains to be seen whether anything will come of this.
