Ahead of the host nations’ announcement of their entry to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024, which will be held in Madrid, the broadcaster RTVE has completed its final round of auditions.
The auditions were held in the Spanish capital and Junior Eurovision host city of Madrid. They were held in the presence of an internal committee from the broadcaster who will now select which young person will represent Spain on home soil.
The number of applications received for the contest this year was the highest since Spain returned to the contest in 2019 and are close to three times as many who applied to represent the nation last year. In total over 300 applications have been reviewed.
The winner of the auditions are set to be revealed by RTVE on July 18 at 11:00 CEST while the song will be internally selected and revealed at a later date with the music video set to be recorded in September.
