Despite confirming they intended to withdraw from Eurovision 2025 earlier today, Moldova may still be able to compete after all.
Bacho has since revealed that they have been offered a sponsorship that could enable Moldova to participate in the contest. The singer also confirmed that he is reaching out to TRM to discuss the matter further.
Today, our team recieved a sponsorship offer. They are offering financial assistance to cover all expenses related to the trip to Eurovision as they are invested in ensuring Moldova presents itself positevly on the global stage during this milestone 20th anniversary of participation.
In turn, we are ready to represent our country with dignity at Eurovision, considering that no one has yet seen our stage show concept, which plays a big role in the artistic image which we havent had the change to present to the public in this years’ final!
We are awaiting a response from TRM team representatives so lets give the green light to Semafoare this year and show that Moldova can rely on its young artists.
Despite this offer, no country has previously announced their withdrawal after the deadline and then proceeded to participate in the contest anyway. However, with the broadcaster being listed on the final participants list published in December re-affirming their intention to participate may be enough for the EBU to allow them to participate anyway and may allow TRM to avoid the late withdrawal penalty.
It is not clear however if TRM are going to accept this offer.
