Festival da Canção songs to be released on January 23

RTP has confirmed that the songs competing to represent Portugal in Basel will be revealed on January 23.

The broadcaster confirmed the date in a post on Instagram.

The songs competing in the selection have been split into two semi-finals, the first will take place on February 22, with the second a week later on February 29.

The festival winner will represent Portugal at Eurovision in Basel in May.
